Canning Cucumbers

Ingredients:
Medium-sized cucumbers
More Specij Cucumber Canning Spice Mix
Salt
Sugar
Acetic acid (70%)
Boiling water

Instructions:

  1. Steam sterilise the jars for 15-20 minutes, and sterilise the lids by boiling them for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Thoroughly rinse the cucumbers, cut off the tails and stalks, and pack them tightly into the jars, standing them vertically.
  3. Pour boiling water over the cucumbers and let them sit for 30 minutes.
  4. Pour the water from the jars into a pot, and use it to prepare the marinade by adding seasoning for canning cucumbers, salt, sugar, and acetic acid (70%).
  5. Bring the marinade to a boil and pour it back over the cucumbers in the jars.
  6. Roll the jars tightly with lids, turn them upside down, and wrap them in a warm blanket or coat until they cool completely.
