Canning Cucumbers
Ingredients:
Medium-sized cucumbers
More Specij Cucumber Canning Spice Mix
Salt
Sugar
Acetic acid (70%)
Boiling water
Instructions:
- Steam sterilise the jars for 15-20 minutes, and sterilise the lids by boiling them for 2-3 minutes.
- Thoroughly rinse the cucumbers, cut off the tails and stalks, and pack them tightly into the jars, standing them vertically.
- Pour boiling water over the cucumbers and let them sit for 30 minutes.
- Pour the water from the jars into a pot, and use it to prepare the marinade by adding seasoning for canning cucumbers, salt, sugar, and acetic acid (70%).
- Bring the marinade to a boil and pour it back over the cucumbers in the jars.
- Roll the jars tightly with lids, turn them upside down, and wrap them in a warm blanket or coat until they cool completely.
