Korean Style Carrots

Ingredients:
600 g carrots
4-5 tbsp vegetable oil
1-1.5 tbsp 3% vinegar
More Specij Korean Carrot Seasoning (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Peel and grate the carrots into thin strips. Sprinkle with salt to taste and let sit for 30 minutes. This helps release moisture from the carrots.
  2. After 30 minutes, squeeze the carrots to remove the excess juice, then drain the liquid.
  3. In a small pan, heat the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the vinegar and bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Pour the hot oil and vinegar mixture over the carrots. Add the seasoning for Korean carrots and mix everything thoroughly to ensure the flavours are well-distributed.
  5. Place the carrots in a cool place for 3-4 hours. For even better flavour, refrigerate the salad overnight to let the spices fully infuse.
