Spicy Korean Carrots

Ingredients:
600 g carrots
5 cloves garlic
1 onion
2 tsp More Specij Korean Carrot Seasoning
1/2 tsp ground chilli pepper
5 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tsp vinegar (9%)
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp white sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Peel the carrots and grate them using a special Korean carrot grater, which creates long, thin strips. Set aside in a large bowl.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over low heat. Add the chopped onion and sprinkle in the sugar. Fry gently, ensuring the onion softens without turning golden or burning.
  3. Remove the onions from the heat and pour the oil and onions directly over the grated carrots. Add the minced garlic, vinegar, Korean carrot seasoning, ground chilli pepper, and mix everything well.
  4. Cover the mixture and place it in the fridge for 2-3 hours to allow the flavours to meld and intensify.
  5. Before serving, sprinkle with white sesame seeds.
