Fish in Apple and Onion Sauce

Ingredients:
600 g sea fish fillet
1 large onion
1 large green apple
Melted butter
1.5 tsp More Specij 20 Herb and Vegetable Seasoning Mix

Instructions:

  1. Peel the apple, remove the core, and slice it thinly. Slice the onion into thin half rings.
  2. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt a generous amount of butter over medium heat. Add the onion and cook without stirring for 3 minutes, allowing it to soften slightly and caramelise.
  3. Remove the pan from the heat and layer the apple slices on top of the onions. Place the fish fillets on top of the apples.
  4. In a separate bowl, dissolve the seasoning in 150 ml of boiling water. Pour the seasoned water gently into the saucepan over the fish and apples. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10–12 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  5. Serve the fish with apple and onion sauce over rice or mashed potatoes.
