Pork in Sweet and Sour Sauce
Ingredients:
1 kg pork
1 tbsp More Specij Fried Meat Seasoning
4 bell peppers (yellow, red, green)
2 onions
100 g mushrooms
50 g tinned pineapples
50 ml vegetable oil
10 ml vinegar
50 ml soy sauce
100 g ketchup
50 g sugar
20 g flour
Instructions:
- In a bowl, whisk together the ketchup, soy sauce, sugar, and vinegar until the sauce is smooth and evenly mixed.
- Slice the bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms into thin slices. Chop the tinned pineapples into small pieces.
- Roll the pork strips in flour to lightly coat them. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Fry the pork for about 5 minutes until it turns golden brown.
- Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to the pork. Continue frying for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
- Pour the sweet and sour sauce over the pork and vegetables. Add the pineapple pieces and seasoning. Mix everything thoroughly and simmer for an additional 3 minutes, allowing the flavours to meld together.
- Serve the pork in sweet and sour sauce hot with boiled rice.
