Chicken Breast Skewers with Mushrooms

Ingredients:
600 g chicken breast
14 mushrooms (champignons)
1 onion
1 tbsp More Specij BBQ & Grill Seasoning
1 tbsp mustard
350 ml mineral water
120 ml vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Cut the chicken breasts into cubes. Sprinkle the barbecue seasoning over the chicken and massage it into the meat. Add 1 tbsp of mustard and massage it into the chicken. This will form a protective layer that keeps the meat juicy during cooking.
  2. Pour mineral water (neutral, unsalted) over the seasoned chicken, ensuring it’s fully covered. Place the marinated chicken in the fridge for 2 hours.
  3. Use small mushrooms similar in size to the chicken pieces. Clean and peel them if necessary. Quarter the onion.
  4. Soak the kebab sticks in cold water to prevent them from burning during cooking. Drain the marinated chicken using a colander. Thread the chicken, mushrooms, and onion alternately onto the skewers. Aim for three pieces of chicken and two mushrooms or onion chunks per skewer.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the skewers until the chicken is cooked through and golden, turning them occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  6. If possible, enjoy them grilled outdoors for extra smoky flavour!
